Wound Management

Moist wound treatment is regarded as the standard for all wounds undergoing secondary healing where production of tissue is required to fill the defect.  Wound healing is a phase-specific process, with two primary objectives:

  Woundbed Preparation
  Support and protection

 

The extent to which either of these processes operates during healing of specific wounds is a function of the wound characteristics.
